Little me

A Little About Me…

Yes, that’s me rocking the saddle shoes with the baseball glove on the wrong hand, circa 1964.
Born in Niles, Michigan. A few stats:
> I have visited 42 of the 50 United States
> I have visited eight other countries, circumnavigating the globe on one two week trip
> I have lived in five states
> I used to be a wilderness Search and Rescue volunteer and instructor
> I also used to coach and referee youth soccer, up to college level

The photo from the blog homepage was taken on Christmas Day, 2016. I was taking a break on top of, as I recall, Tennet Mountain on the Art Loeb trail. Located in the Shining Rock Wilderness area, part of Pisgha National Forest, I set out to see how people get lost. And I was successful. Resulted in much ridicule from fellow Search and Rescue team members.
I’m sorry, did I say lost? Search and Rescue personnel are NEVER lost. We just end up somewhere other than where we planned.
