Several years ago, I left all social media platforms save one (for professional connections). From a secular perspective, I disdain the idea that social media companies frequently use our data and our clicks to work against our best wishes. From a faith perspective, I disdain the anti-Christian bent of so many social media organizations. If you are on social media and would like to link to my content, I won’t try to stop you. ;)

However I will encourage you to find direct connections, person-to-person communication via conversations, texts or email. It is in those real connections that life happens, in my humble opinion.

That’s why I refuse to run advertising on my websites. Combine the mind numbing banality of the content with the deceptive practices, and I simply cannot insult you with these ads. I also find the notion that I am unable to control the type of content you might experience in third-party ads to be disconcerting.
